Ronald F. Trudeau, 72, of Derry, New Hampshire died Sunday, August 13th in Colonial Poplin Nursing Home surround by his loving family. He leaves his children, Ronald R. W. Trudeau of Brookfield, Lyndsey M. Downs and her husband, Ryan of Nashua, NH, and Allison M. Trudeau of Derry, NH; his four brothers, Francis G. Trudeau and his wife, Marie of Murrells Inlet, SC; Paul J. and his wife, Elsie Trudeau of Plymouth; Stephen J. and his wife, Elizabeth Trudeau of Shrewsbury; Jeffrey P. and his wife, Denise Trudeau of Franklin; his three sisters, Pamela A. Hipes and her husband, Michael of Kamiah, ID; Joanne M. Trudeau of Kamiah, ID; and Laurie J. Berry and her husband, Chuck of Auburn; three grandchildren, Henry, George, and Julianna; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Camille Perkins.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Richard R. and Rita M. (Monahan) Trudeau. Ronald graduated from Auburn High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston. He worked for Stone & Webster and for Parsons Brinckerhoff as a civil engineer.
Ronald was an avid New England sports fan. He always enjoyed a good card game, especially Skip-Bo; Shut the Box with his friend, Abby; and Four Square at York Beach and always making a point to visit Nubble Lighthouse to ensure its “still there”. His favorite pastimes were his trips to Aruba, Foxwoods and watching the Lord of the Rings marathons.
Calling hours are Friday, August 18th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, August 19th from 8:00 until 8:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by entombment at 9:00 a.m. in Notre Dame Mausoleum, 162 Webster Street, Worcester.
