HINES, Janet A. (Bachofner) of Dedham formerly of Milton and Roslindale, August 13, 2023. Beloved wife of the late David F. Hines. Devoted mother of Kathleen McClain and her late husband Steven of Norfolk, Christine McCusker and her husband Henry of Dedham, David Hines Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Whitman and Falmouth, Gail Courtney and her husband Brian of West Roxbury, Kevin Hines and his wife Maureen of Norwood, Stephen Hines and his wife Sarah of Norwood and Falmouth, and the late Janet Capone and her late husband Gilbert, formerly of Dedham. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Janet was a former employee of the Dedham Public School System, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. She was a member of the Norwood Senior Center and the St. Susanna’s Women’s Club. Janet enjoyed gardening and vacationing on Cape Cod but mainly loved being with her 7 children most of all. She was devoted to family and God.
Visiting hours will be held at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., West Roxbury on Thursday, Aug. 17 from 4-8pm. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 18 at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Susanna’s Church, Dedham at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
