Eugenio Fernandes Miranda (76) of Brockton died August 11th in the St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Brighton.
He was born in Brava, Cabo Verde son of the late Jose Miranda and Carolina Fernandes Miranda. Eugenio was a retired factory worker for the Montello Heel Company. He enjoyed soccer, watching Benfica, playing cards and scratch tickets. Eugenio was funny, sweet and devoted to his family. He also enjoyed socializing with his family and friends.
Eugenio is survived by his 2 sons, Danny Walbridge of Bridgewater and Scott Walbridge of New Jersey, (father of the late John P. Lima), his brother Joao Miranda of Rhode Island, 5 sisters, Fatima Goncalves of Brockton, Maria Azancoth of France, Maria Miranda of Netherlands, Carlota Rodrigues of Netherlands and Maria Depina of Rhode Island, (brother of the late Josezinho Miranda), 5 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday August 18th from 5-8 pm. Services in the Funeral Home Saturday Morning August 19th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery 163 N Cary Street Brockton.
