Lena Mae Sharrock 87 of Ossining, NY passed away peacefully at her home on August
10, 2023.
Lena was born on April 2, 1936 to Bennie Morris and Lois Lubirda (Byrd) Morris in Madison County, Mississippi. From this union, she was the youngest of three. Having lived in Mississippi and Ohio, she finally settled in New York making it her permanent residence. Lena loved to cook for her family and friends. She cherished Thanksgiving family gatherings. Lena was employed and retired from Reader's Digest. Afterwards, she entered the Healthcare field and worked for various healthcare agencies as a CNA and HHA until her retirement in 2022.
Lena is survived by her two daughters: Deloris {Donald) Roane of Oklahoma and Gloria Robinson of Florida; grandchildren: Anthony Robinson, Desiree Robinson, Kempton {Debra) Robinson, Timothy {Wendy) Johnson and Donnell Robinson; great grandchildren: Anthony Molina, Jr., Joseph Molina, Taylor Johnson, Reese Johnson, Alexis Johnson, Tyler Robinson, Kyle Robinson and Layla Robinson along with other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two siblings: Henry Morris and Mary Robinson; and long time best friend Milta Odum Taylor.
