EFFINGHAM, NH- April Mae (Libby) Cochrane age 48, wife of Timothy Cochrane and mother of Kameron Cochrane passed away unexpectedly on August 9. 2023 at her home.
She was born on June 13, 1975, to Leslie Libby and Laura (Taylor) Libby of Parsonsfield, ME
April graduated in 1993 from Sacopee Valley High School, going on to receive an associate’s degree in computer science from Andover College and received her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from SNHU.
Worked and loved her job and coworkers as the Office Manager for Robbins Lumber, formerly known as Limington Lumber. Had other interests on the side that showed her love for helping anyone wherever she could lend a hand, like working from time to time as a substitute teacher and a volunteer coach for several sports in Sacopee Valley Schools.
When home and not at work she put a great amount of free time into the pastimes she loved. Love of sports and played softball regularly as a pitcher with the women’s league in Fryeburg Maine. Bowling, she was an avid bowler and joined multiple leagues, she loved it when she could beat her mother at it. When she was at home, staying up way too late or reading by the pool or watching movies with her husband and pets (including Beauty and the Beast on repeat when nobody was awake). She always loved to try her hand at putting together new recipes she found on the internet or was given by her friends. She also enjoyed going hiking, walking with the dogs, kayaking, or rollerblading down the street and complaining about the terrible road that never got better. April enjoyed many trips to the Texas Roadhouse with her family. The absolute joy in her life was sharing of laughter and smiles and an experience of a lifetime with the family she cherished, Kameron (the miracle in April's life) and the love of Timothy.
During her school days living at home with her parents, she was a member of the school flag team, and would never shy away from lending a hand helping her Dad with the firewood.
She loved spending weekends with Grammie Taylor at camp or playing cards with her on school nights.
April is predeceased by her father Leslie Libby, brother Wayne Libby, maternal grandparents Laurence and Mary Taylor, paternal grandparents Lawrence and Phyllis Libby and two dogs Clyde and Buddy and her cat Kitty.
She is survived by her lifelong partner of 32 years Timothy Cochrane, son Kameron Cochrane, mother Laura (Taylor) Libby, brother Lee Libby and wife Christina of Rangeley ME as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and her cat Gronk.
Visiting hours will be from 4-6pm at Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home located at 71 Maple St. Cornish, ME on Friday, Aug 18th followed by a funeral service at 6pm.
