Mary Ellen Medina Valdivia, 64 of Oxnard CA, passed away on August 5, 2023 at home surrounded by family & friends in El Rio. Mary Ellen was born in Port Hueneme, California to Emilio and Rosemarie Valdivia on June 1, 1959. She went to high School at Rio Mesa. She enjoyed traveling, music, dancing. Mary Ellen worked in the medical field and worked as a longshoreman, Local 46 ILWU of Port Hueneme. Mary Ellen is survived by her children: Ralph Jr., Janae, Jennifer; Son-in-law David; and daughters-in-law: Marcela & Krystal; Father of Children: Ralph Sr; Siblings: Emilio Jr., Arnold, Rosemarie, Emily; Mother: Rosemarie; Grandchildren: Matthew, Aubriana, Samuel, Jayden, Neveah, Chris; Nieces and Nephews; Godchildren. She is preceded in death by her father Emilio Valdivia, grandparents, and relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main St., Ventura.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5-8 pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main St., Ventura with a Most Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10 AM in Santa Clara Catholic Church, 323 South E Street, Oxnard. Burial to follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Rd., Ventura at 1pm.
