Irene Hope (Galligan) Indoccio, 82 of Derry, NH died Sunday June 18, 2006 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. Mrs. Indoccio was born in Providence, R.I. on August 6, 1923 a daughter of the late Thomas and Ann (Hasson) Galligan. She had resided in Derry for most of her life. She loved to dance, cook, play bingo and roller skate, which she had even won an award for. She was quite the comedian and her pranks will be told and passed down to many generations. She was the most caring and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Collins and her husband Douglas Sr. of Derry with whom she lived with, her son, Benjamin Indoccio, Jr. of Tennessee, four grandchildren, Stefenie Indoccio of Tennessee, Douglas Collins, Jr. of Salem, NH, Corey Collins and his wife Katie of Woodlands, TX and Shane Collins of Derry, five great-grandchiildren, Sarah Collins of Derry, Cortney and Alyssa Collins both of Salem, Colby Collins of Derry, Christian Collins of Salem, three sisters, Ann Battey and Fran Crafford of Rhode Island, Grace Richards of Derry, many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her Godson, Robert Crafford of NYC, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin J. Indoccio, Sr. in 1985. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Nellie Johnson, Catherine Connery, Rose Devine, Mary Murphy, her brother, Thomas Galligan and by her great grandson, Tyler Collins.
There were no calling hours. Graveside services were held on Friday June 23, 2006 at 1:00pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Northeast Affiliate, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
