Pearl Allen Sheedy, 90, of Derry, NH passed away Sunday August 6, 2023 at her residence. Pearl was born in Windham, NH July 29, 1933, a daughter of the late William and Estella (Wentworth) Scott. She was raised and educated in Windham and Woodbury High School in Salem, a resident of Derry for over 70 years.
Pearl was a purchasing agent for 31 years, first with Alexander Eastman Hospital and then Parkland Medical Center. She was a very experienced knitter and was a member of “World Vision Knitting” a charitable organization, that makes knitted products for the underprivileged. All the Sheedy’s have samples of her beautiful work. Pearl loved to play Bingo and was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church of Londonderry.
Members of the family include her son Kip AJ Sheedy and his wife Diana M. of Bedford, NH, and a sister, Jessica Dearth of Springfield, NH. Pearl is also blessed to have close relationships with her Sheedy relatives, many of which are still in the area. Pearl was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Augustine “Gus” Sheedy in 2016. She also was predeceased by two sisters, Janet Vallante, Janice Morris and a brother, James Scott, and other Sheedy relatives.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00am in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. For directions to the cemetery, please use the address of 47 E. Derry Rd, E. Derry, NH 03041 (this is the address for First Parish Church and also the main entrance for the cemetery which is behind the Church). Follow the main road into the cemetery towards the end which will put you in area of the lot. A memorial reception will be held on Saturday at LaCarreta Mexican Restaurant, 44 Nashua Road., Londonderry, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of NH, or www.rescueleague.org.
