Robert John Doyle
1963-2023
Rob was a “Giant” of man, having picked up the nickname in high school for his 6-foot, 4-inch height and earning it through his life by the largeness of his kindness and good will. Rob quietly volunteered at Tewksbury Community Food Pantry for decades and was the main support for his mother as she aged. His giant heart extended to his hobbies, he was an avid science fiction and Patriots fan. He had season tickets to the Patriots for years, and he enjoyed talking football with his friends and family, often reaching out during games for a chat during time-outs. As shared by a family friend, the “Giant” will be missed.
Rob died on Saturday, August 5, 2023, of an unexpected heart attack while visiting friends at their camp in Milton, NH. Rob loved the camp and has visited for years, for the sadness of his passing, his friends and family are consoled that he died truly at his “happy place”. He was born in 1963 in Lowell, MA, grew up in Tewksbury, MA and is a 1981 graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School. Rob earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Lowell, and worked for Raytheon in Andover, MA his entire career, becoming an expert in quality engineering. He happily retired on his 60th birthday.
