Edward “Ed” Joseph Webb the son of Harold “Pete” Webb and Pamallaire (Randall) Webb, died Friday, August 5th, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Stoughton, MA at the age of 75 after a long illness.
He attended Holbrook Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1966. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1968-1972.
Ed was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 653 as a truck driver for Hallamore Motor Transportation for 31 years.
He married his wife Connie (Williams) Webb in 1971 and had 52 wonderful years together, 47 of them as residents of Halifax and for the last 20 of those with their niece Jean, her husband Alex and their children Alex and Emma. He is also survived by his sister, Sandie (Jerry) Giorgio of Marshfield, eight nieces, three nephews, two grand nieces and two grand nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Marilyn Cardile.
His hobbies included drag racing in Epping, New Hampshire and recreational quad riding; but his love of fishing was closest to his heart.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 9, from 10:00AM-12:00PM with a service to follow at 12:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson.
