Alice A. (Laliberte) Leahy, 91, of Worcester, died Friday, August 4th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 23 years, David Leahy died in 1988. She leaves a son, David Palubeckis and his wife, Barbara of Worcester; two daughters, Debra Curran of Auburn, formerly of Worcester, and Candy Leahy of Worcester; two brothers, David Laliberte of Worcester and Lorenzo Laliberte and his wife, Marie of Naples, FL; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Laliberte; and a sister, Gertrude Belanger.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Paul and Albertine (David) Laliberte and graduated from Holy Name High School. Alice retired in 2017 from Catholic Charities, where she worked as a counselor for over 10 years at the Youville House. She previously worked for the Worcester Public Schools for over 20 years as an instructional aide at various schools, including Vernon Hill and Canterbury Street School. Alice was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was a fashionista, and enjoyed shopping, socializing, playing bingo, and playing slots at Twin Rivers. Most importantly, Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, Matthew and Aiden.

Her funeral Mass is Friday, August 11th with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in Sacred Heart – St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 596 Cambridge Street (PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH). There are no calling hours. Burial will be held privately in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Foundation for the Blind, 1108 Third Avenue, Suite 200, Huntington, WV 25701.
