CHICOPEE – Claire A. “Lovey” (Boutin) Laramee, 94, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, August 6, 2023. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on March 8, 1929, a beloved daughter of the late Wilfred and Aurore Laramee. She was raised in Holyoke, graduated from Holy Rosary High School in Holyoke and had lived in Chicopee for over 70 years. She was employed in the Accounts Payable Department and later worked as a receptionist for the Big Y Supermarkets Corporate Office. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she enjoyed playing Bridge and was an active member at the Chicopee Women’s Club and the Chicopee Senior Center. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rene A. Laramee who was Called Home on June 20, 1987. She leaves her five loving children, Denise Zampiceni and her husband, Paul, of Fort Myers, FL, Darlene Bowen of Wilbraham, Kenneth R. Laramee and his wife, Virginia, of Orefield, PA, Kevin D. Laramee and his wife, Becky, of Belchertown and Keith A.R. Laramee and his wife, Jill, of Enfield, CT; her 12 cherished grandchildren, Tanya Norris and her husband, Mark, Kena Gonnelli and her husband, Robert, Craig Zampiceni and his wife, Carly, Heather Dimauro and her husband, Marc, Sean Scoles and his wife, Kate, Trisha Renn and her husband, David, Alison Ludlow and her husband, Bret, Cameron Laramee-Gonzalez and his husband, Moshe, Collin Laramee, Aaron Laramee and his fiancée, Stephanie Wence, Madeline Laramee and Isabella Laramee; her 11 cherished great grandchildren; her dear brother, Leon Boutin of West Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her cherished granddaughter, Patrice Laramee; her two dear brothers, Arthur Boutin and his wife, Lorette, and Roland Boutin and his wife, Dorothy; and her dear sister in law, Maryanne Boutin. Her funeral services will be private and her burial will be private at Sainte Rose Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date and time to be announced.
