Roberta L. Gallagher, 82

Roberta L. (Flint) Gallagher, age 82, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruce D. Gallagher, Sr., to whom she was wed for forty-three years at the time of his death on January 6, 2004.
Born in Arlington, MA on May 18, 1941, she was a loving daughter of the late Alyce I. (Harkins) Plant and her husband Roy Plant and the late Robert W. Flint.
Roberta grew up in Canton and was a 1959 graduate of Canton High School. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past forty-eight years and was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield. Prior to retiring at the age of seventy-seven, Mrs. Gallagher had worked for many years as a Property Manager at John Keith Properties in Stoughton.
Roberta’s favorite times by far were those spent in the presence of her adoring family and many happy years of memories spent with them in her backyard by the pool. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and shopping. Roberta also loved trips taken with her sisters, day trips and dining out with her neighbors; Ed and Nancy Lambert, trips to area casinos and will always be remembered for a special love in her heart for animals.
She is survived by her devoted children: David S. Gallagher and his wife Maria of Bellingham, Bruce D. Gallagher, Jr. of Mansfield, Lisa A. Mailly and her husband Gerald of Mansfield, Sean M. Gallagher and his wife Julie of Foxborough and Stacey L. Gallagher and her longtime companion Eric of Woonsocket. She was the cherished grandmother of Patrick, Ryan, Megan, Caitlin, Nicholas, Kelsey, Heather, Tyler, Samantha, Rory, Lisa and great grandchildren Christian, Connor, Shannon and Leann. She was the dear sister of Joyce Pratt of Canton and Pamela Eckler of Canton, who was pre-deceased by her husband Richard Eckler. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, August 10th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
