Carol Lea Olson

Carol Lea Olson, 94, of Anderson, died August 1, 2023 at Northview Health and Living.
Carol was born June 10, 1929 in Anderson, the daughter of Daniel and Marguerite (Bowser) Olson. She lived in Indianapolis as a child and graduated from Shortridge High School in 1947 and Anderson College in 1951.
She worked 44 years at Warner Press before retiring in 1996. She attended Park Place Church of God and Arrow Heights Church of God. She was a gifted artist and photographer and she loved all sports. She taught photography at Anderson University for 24 years and at Indiana University East for 10 years.
She is survived by her nephew, Robert (Pam) Kearns II of Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, and nieces, Jamie (Rich) Stone of Carmel, Indiana and Kathi (Steve) Carroll of Noblesville, Indiana. She loved her six grand nieces and nephews and her 10 great nieces and nephews and was proud to be their aunt. She had many great friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Robert Kearns I, her great niece Lainey, and her cousins, William Bowser, Ed Bowser and Doris Bowser McCreary.
Private services will be held. Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the local arrangements and entombment was held in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
