GRANBY – Paul J. Fluet, 88, of Granby, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Barton, Vermont on October 20, 1934, a beloved son of the late Hector and Helene (Chabot) Fluette. He graduated from Saint Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Western New England College in Springfield. He lived in New Hampshire and Leominster before moving to Granby in 1967 where he lived the remainder of his life. He was employed for over 25 years at the Nonutuck Wire Company in South Hadley and was previously employed at American Electric Company in Holyoke. Paul was a Life Member of the Fairview Council 4044 Knights of Columbus in Chicopee. During his leisure time, he enjoyed working on countless projects around his beloved home. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Beverly A. (St. Martin) Fluet. They were married on August 15, 1959 in New Hampshire and were blessed with over 63 years of happiness together. He also leaves his four loving children, Jay F. Fluet of Colorado, Lee A. Martin and her husband, Keith, and Teena L. Fluet, all of Chicopee and Carl A. Fluet of Schenectady, NY; his four cherished grandchildren, Jason Fluet, Aubrey Hier and her husband, Christopher, Tiffany Martin and her partner, Paul Slavis, and Jonathan Hough; his three dear sisters, Theresa Damato of Sun City, AZ, Lisa Wishnick of Utah and Frances Rifkin of South Miami Beach, FL; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his four dear brothers, Lucien Fluet, Lawrence Fluet, Donat Fluet and Andre Fluet; and his five dear sisters, Rosilda Chappel, Mary Bourque, Germaine Dubuque, Jeanne Rothschild and Yolanda Sheehan. His Funeral Services will be private. There are no visiting hours.
