Obituary

KUCI, Avni passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 29th, 2023 at the age of 69. After a five-year battle with leukemia, he gained his wings and transcended this world, leaving behind his legacy of resilience. He is survived by his dear wife, Sadete Kuci who he deeply loved for 40 years. Devoted father of Jona Kuci and Adela Kuci. Also, his ever-loving grandson, Daniel Shamsi, to whom he was like a father and loved greatly.

Avni Kuci was born in Tirana, Albania. He served in the Albanian Naval Force and was stationed on submarines. He moved to the U.S. in 2007 and worked for Nouria Energy. He was really hard-working and always put his family first. He was the oldest of five siblings and is survived by his two sisters and three brothers.

He enjoyed many things, like playing chess, riding his bike, and fishing with his grandson. He loved music, dancing, and had a great sense of humor. He was a true fighter and never gave up, and taught us all to make the best out of any situation. He will be deeply missed.

Visiting hours will be held at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Wednesday, August 2nd from 2-4pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial will follow at Gardens Cemetery, West Roxbury.
