He married the love of his life, Judy, in 1965, spending over 57 years together, welcoming three children, Melani, Marcy, and Kevin. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family camping, boating, skiing, and fishing, in particular at Huntington Lake and Shaver Lake in the High Sierras. He continued to enjoy traveling after retirement as well as golfing with his golf buddies and family. His greatest joy was sharing his life with his wife, children, and grandchildren. There was not an activity, sporting, or special event that Ken wouldn't attend to provide his love and support.
His proudest career accomplishment was Ken's 30 years of public service with the Ventura County Fire Department, retiring in 2001 as a Fire Captain at Station 23 in Oak View, CA.
Ken is survived by his wife, Judy, of Ojai, CA. Children: Melani Sauer and husband Marc of Ojai, CA; Marcy Washington and husband Robb of Ventura, CA; Kevin Cochran and wife Leanne of Castle Rock, CO.
