Obituary

Beloved Father and Servant of the Community, Steven Arthur Shepard, aged 50, passed away on July 27, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and selflessness. Born on July 7, 1973, he was the cherished father of two beautiful daughters, Alexandria Cox and Sierra Shepard, and longtime love of Tiffini Johnston. Steven was a man who wore many hats in life, excelling in every role he embraced.
Steven's dedication to his community and country was evident throughout his life. After serving his nation with honor in the United States Air Force, he continued his journey of service by becoming a firefighter, following in the footsteps of his late father, Worcester Fire Captain Arthur Shepard. For many years, Steven put his life on the line, both as an airman abroad and later fearlessly battling fires in his own community. His peers remember him as a brave and compassionate comrade, always putting others before himself.
Family meant everything to Steven, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his children, who carry his strength, kindness, and passion for life. In addition to being a dedicated father, Steven cherished his close bond with his late mother, Madeline Shepard, as well as his two surviving sisters, Tammy Benoit and Michelle Shepard Snyder, and their families. Together, they shared countless memories and stood as pillars of support for one another.
Steven leaves behind a profound impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him. His courage, integrity, and love will be forever etched in our hearts. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
