James “Jimmy” Bramante passed away peacefully at the Winchester Hospital with his loving family by his side on Monday, July 24th. He was 78. Born and raised in Boston’s West End and Medford, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Tripolina (Condelli) Bramante.

He was proud of his family’s heritage on the sea and continued to operate boats once he had stepped back from going out on long voyages. He was a devoted family man and always looked forward to time with his wife, daughter, brothers and sisters, and especially his grandchildren. As Jimmy eased into retirement, he and Phyllis spent the winter months in Florida. He developed a love for cooking seafood, cultivated a wonderful vegetable garden, and could often be found fixing things, from household appliances, yard machinery and even electronic toys for the kids. Jimmy was generous with his love for his large family and many friends. He will always be remembered for his great qualities.
The beloved husband of Phyllis (Silva) Bramante, Jimmy was a devoted father to Tina Bramante and her husband Jason Mascaro of Reading. He was a loving grandpa to Gabriel, Cecilia, Layla and Eva. He was a dear brother to Salvatore Bramante and his wife Nikki, Dolores Bramante and her husband Joseph Anoli, Christine Bramante and her husband Howard Cohen, the late Domenic Bramante and his surviving wife Marguerite, Bernie Bramante and his late wife Phyllis, the late Olympia Sharpe and her late husband Jimmy, the late Frank Bramante and his surviving wife Roberta, the late Peter Bramante and his surviving wife Barbara, the late Rose Interrante and her husband Joe, the late Mary Marchesini and her husband John, the late Connie Ruggiero and her husband Louis, and the late Celia Lodi and her husband Egidio.
