PELZER, SC: Thomas C. Barnaby, age 50, recently of Pelzer, SC, a former longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Shields) Barnaby, of Billerica.

Born in Wareham, MA on April 26, 1973, he was the devoted son of Dennis R. Barnaby and Joan (Libby) Barnaby, of Pelzer, SC.

Tom was raised in Tewksbury and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1992.

In 2000, he joined the Carpenters Union Local 327 (formerly Local # 33) and most recently worked as a production assembler.

Tom was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. In addition, he enjoyed music, dancing, fresh and saltwater fishing and spending time with family.

He will lovingly be remembered for his outgoing personality, witty sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need before they asked.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Heather (Hembree) Miano and her husband Robert, of Nashua, NH, James Hembree, of Barrington, NH, John Hembree and his husband Scott Perkins, of Jacksonville, FL, Ashley Barnaby, of Londonderry, NH, Joshua Barnaby, of Pelzer, SC, Camron Perry, of Nashua, NH, Nick Barnaby, of South Lake Tahoe, CA, and Dennis Barnaby of Derry, NH. He leaves 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He was the brother of William Eldredge and his fiancé Shirley Roderic, of Salisbury, John Eldredge, of Boston, Steven Eldredge and his wife Kimberly (Oliveri) Eldredge, of Pelham, NH, Deanna (Barnaby) Simmons and her husband Brian, of Dracut. Tom leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Calling hours are Wednesday, July 26th from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 27th at 10 a.m., at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Those attending are asked to meet at the church.
