Warren K. “Chip” Hale, 79, of Barefoot Bay, FL and Salem, NH died Saturday June 17th at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. He lived in Salem, NH for 50 years before moving to Barefoot Bay, FL where he had wintered for many years.
Chip was born in Whitingham, VT where he grew up, graduating from Woodsville High School in 1944. He served his country in the US Air Force during WW II. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont in 1951.
Chip retired as President of Thomas K. Dyer, Inc of Lexington, MA where he had been employed for 20 years. He formerly served as chief engineering officer for the Boston & Maine Railroad for 24 years. He was a member of ASCE, NSPE, AREA, the Boston Society of Civil Engineering, the New England Railroad Club, the Old Wheels, the Salem Kiwanis, and was a charter member of the Derry Salem Elks.

9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews
Calling hours will be on Wednesday June 21st from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 24th at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Groton, VT. Burial will follow in the Groton Village Cemetery in Groton, VT.
