James L. Meola, 62 of Derry, NH passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 12, 2023, with his brother Steve by his side. Jim was born on May 12, 1961 in Winthrop, Ma. He was the eldest son of Louis and Connie (Greco) Meola. He was raised in East Boston, Ma. where he later graduated from St. Dominic Savio School in 1980. After high school he lived in Revere, Ma. until settling down in Londonderry, NH in 1984.
Jim started a career in the janitorial field working for the Londonderry school District. He later worked doing maintenance and janitorial work at the Double Tree by Hilton, in Manchester, NH., then he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2015.
Anyone that knew Jim, knew he was a fun loving, awesome person who was up beat, happy go lucky, carefree guy who always had a smile on his face. He was always up for a great time. He loved to camp, golf, go to concerts and ballgames, or just hang out listening to music. Jim will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and caring friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his father Louis Meola and his wife Judy of Portsmouth, NH and his mother Connie Meola of E. Boston, MA, two brothers, Steven Meola and wife Kristie of Londonderry, NH, and John Meola of MA., two sisters, Kim Meola of Londonderry, NH, and Joanna Matos and husband Jeff of Portsmouth, NH., as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
