Rebecca Mae (Becky) Stobbs, 59, of Hampstead, NH, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, in Mass General Hospital Boston, MA surrounded by her immediate family. She was born on May 13, 1964, in Winchester, MA, the daughter of Shirley (DeChamp) Jackson and the late Robert Jackson. Rebecca had been a resident of Hampstead for the past 18 years, formerly living in Epping, Exeter, and throughout the North Shore of Massachusetts.
A fan of life's simplest pleasures, when not at home with a good book, you could often find Becky on an impromptu car ride to an unknown destination or relaxing in front of a campfire. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her whole family and loved nothing more than to spend hours on the phone with her kids, talking about life and nothing at all. A former avid bowler, she was a staple behind the desk at Strikers East in Raymond for many years and most recently worked as a Customer Service associate at Walmart in Salem. Everywhere she went, she gained the nickname "Mama Becky" as she was truly a mother to all, gaining many "adopted" sons and daughters along the way.
She will be most remembered for her contagious smile that could light up a room, her kind and generous soul, and her desire to put everyone before herself. No matter the circumstances, she would always lend her hand to anyone in need, no questions asked. She never had a bad word to say about anyone, loved everyone without judgment, and wanted nothing more than to see everyone around her succeed.
In addition to her mother, Rebecca is survived by her son, Ryan Stobbs of Exeter, NH; daughter, Raina Kennedy and son-in-law Dylan of North Waterboro, ME; brother, Randall Jackson and his wife Paula of Newburyport, MA; and her beloved cat Dusty. In addition to her father, Rebecca was predeceased by her ex-father-in-law, William Stobbs who was like a second father to her; and her brother, Patrick Allen Jackson.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday, July 21 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A memorial service will follow at 5:30pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to any charity of your choosing.
