Joseph W. Quintina, Sr. 76 of Medfield and a former resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully, with family at his side, Friday July 14, 2023, at the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury, following an illness.
He was the son of the late James and Mary Quintina of Franklin, the brother to the late Charles (Sonny) Quintina and the late Jimmy (Bunzo) Quintina, and Louis Quintina who lives in North Carolina.
Joe was the loving father to his 3 children: Joseph Quintina and his wife Tami of Franklin; Katie Ntasios and her husband Arthur of Medfield; and Michael Quintina and his wife Erin of Norfolk.
He leaves his children behind along with his nine grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Joe and Tami's children James, Marcus, Anthony and Nicholas; Katie and Arthur's children Nicholas, Isabella and Vanessa; Mike and Erin's children Avery and Charlotte.
Cannot go without mentioning his former spouse Tricia and her husband Steve Cook who have been a blended family throughout the years as they enjoyed their children and grandchildren together, along with their sweet dogs Malcolm and Scooby.
A life full of love, compassion and a helping hand in whatever way he could participate, Joe was a Navy Veteran in which he often spoke. Along with his many interests and joys, he was the sole author of his published book "Stone of the Vault" which, rightly so, gave him much pride along hopes to movie rights. He will surely be missed and he leaves us with many great memories that will shine within our hearts forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to the calling hours in the Charles F Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage Street, Franklin, Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 5-7pm.
His funeral service is Wednesday July 19th at 10am at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
