Christopher “Chris” M. O’Grady, age 49, passed away on July 8, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center. Known to many as one of “The O’Grady Boys” Chris was born on May 4, 1974 in Holyoke, MA. He was a fun loving, athletic young man who had a way of making his presence known everywhere he went. Full of personality, Chris was always there with the perfect comment to make you laugh out loud, tapping you on the arm to be sure you heard it. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing and watching many sports throughout his life. He excelled at all of them, including bowling, horse shoes, football, basketball and of course, baseball. Anyone who knows Chris will remember him in his baseball hats, as he had many and always wore one everywhere he went. He proudly served in the Marine Corps. before he worked as a talented graphic artist for Chuck’s Signs for many years. His most recent favorite passion was playing the drums as he loved music so very much. Christopher was predeceased by his mother Deborah (Smith) O’Grady and his younger brother, Andrew O’Grady. He is survived by his father Edward O’Grady of South Hadley; three sons, Tony Constantine of South Hadley, Sean O’Grady and Andrew O’Grady, both of Chicopee; One brother Edward O’Grady of Feeding Hills; One sister, Jennifer O’Grady of Chicopee along with his niece and nephew, Caitlin and Edward. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his friends and family. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, from 9:30 – 10:30 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 11:00 AM.
