Obituary

Robert A. Maglio, 76, of Greenville Avenue, Greenville, passed away on July 8th surrounded by his family in his home. He was the husband of Cecile B. ( Villiard ) Maglio. They had been married for 49 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Avelino L. and Anna C. (Ruggiero) Maglio. He had lived in Greenville for 48 years, previously living in Johnston, RI. He was a US Navy veteran having served on the USS Davis and had also served in the US Navy Reserves.

Robert was a sheet metal mechanic with Electric Boat for 36 years before retiring in July of 2010.

Robert played the banjo. He loved camping and going on vacations. He would ride his bicycle all around the neighborhood when he first retired.

Besides his wife he leaves his daughter Rebecca E. Maglio of Greenville. He had 2 dogs, one named Blue and the other named Aspen who he loved dearly. He also left behind many nieces and nephews, brothers in law, and sisters in law.

His visitation will held Thursday July 13th from 3:30pm to 6pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be Monday July 17th at 11am in St. Jean-Baptiste Cemetery, 310 Wrentham Rd. Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA. www.aspca.org
