WEST BALDWIN- Elizabeth A. Burnell, 70, peacefully joined her husband in Heaven on July 8th, 2023 after a brief illness, surrounded by her family and all their love.
Beth grew up in and attended Gorham school. The daughter of the late Phillip E. Honan and Virginia (Ginny) F. Honan, she loved her horses, collies and summers at camp.
She met her husband Scott while in high school and they married in 1971. They raised 2 children, Tracy and Christopher, and eventually built their forever home in West Baldwin in 1985. They shared passions for cooking, reading and music.
Beth enjoyed the simple things in life, sitting on the porch reading and watching the kids compete at cornhole, knitting, baking, snuggling with her cat Delcie, and having family around. Cooking a favorite dish for a birthday, or preparing a holiday spread for the family, Beth was in her element, but her favorite past time was having family around. Simple chatting, watching a show together, kids popping in randomly to say hi and introduce new friends, receiving a special delivery of a new recipe off the smoker, and even special visits from her grand puppies, John, Colt and Ruger.
Beth is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Paul S. Burnell and her parents, Phil and Ginny Honan.
Surviving her are: daughter Tracy Morrell and husband Clay, son Christopher and wife Julie, all of West Baldwin, sister Mary Marshall and husband Charlie of Franklin ME, brothers-in law Peter, Jerry and Jeffrey Burnell and their families, grandchildren Megan Smith and husband Jeffrey of West Baldwin, Hannah Burnell and partner Dayle Gray of Naples, Star Burnell of Bridgton, Philip Burnell of Waterboro, Brady Burnell of West Baldwin, TJ Sullivan of West Baldwin, and Great-grandchildren Jaden Boston, Divinity and Killian Smith all of West Baldwin, and Abel and Chaianne Smith of WA.
