Casavant, Patricia (Driscoll) of Sandwich formerly of Framingham, Lexington, Newton and Osterville. July 8, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Arthur F. Casavant. Loving mother of Anne B. Casavant and her partner Allen Moulton of Lexington, Arthur F. Casavant and his wife Margaret Kirby of New Canaan, CT, Dr. David W. Casavant and his wife Maryann Cloherty of Westwood, Michelle “Mindy” Bernard and her husband Timothy of Pocasset. Loving grandmother of Thomas, Caroline, Timothy, Christine, Elizabeth, Daniel, Patrick, John, Michael, Stephen and Matthew. Great-grandmother of Reese and Kaleigh. Sister of Margaret Driscoll of Norwood.
Patricia was a multi-faceted woman who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Raised in Newton she had a successful career as an educator after graduating from Framingham State University, and she later earned her Master’s Degree there as well. She had a wide variety of interests - from bridge to travel to cooking - and particularly enjoyed her love of Cape Cod, the Dinner Group and her long time friends. She loved family parties and enjoying the adventures of several generations of her children and grandchildren. She was ahead of her time and a staunch advocate for education and women’s equality.
A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham on Thursday, July 13 from 9:30-10:30am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham at 11:00am.
