Alex Edmond Raymond (affectionately known as “Big Al” to friends or “Lelex” to family) was born on October 18, 1976 in Newton, Massachusetts to Marie Marguerite Esereth Raymond. He grew up in Dorchester and Milton. Alex attended Sacred Heart School in Roslindale, Bethel Christian School and Bethel Christian Academy in Brockton, where he graduated in 1994. Alex was an active member of the soccer, basketball and fence teams and debate club. He attended Northeastern University from 1994-1996 as well as University of Massachusetts Boston. Alex was a dedicated employee at CompuServe in Canton, MA and Perdue in Perry, GA. He had a love for building computers and producing music for artists.
Alex cherished spending time with his large extended family and was an avid gamer. He would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to whomever that needed it. He would never say no to anyone, hesitant to complain and a humble human.
Alex was a man after God’s heart. He attended the Church of God Christian Life Center. He shared such a closeness with his grandmother that when she was going to be baptized, Alex made the split decision to accept Jesus as his personal savior and decided at 13 to be baptized as well. He sang with his brothers and sisters in Christ with the New Generation Chorale (NGC) at Church of God Christian Life Center.
Alex decided to move to Georgia in October 2008 for a change of scenery where he lived for the next 15 years up until his passing. Alex returned home to our Lord and Savior on July 2, 2023. His loss leaves a great hole in the hearts of his family, friends and loved ones. He was a beloved son, a caring and ever-present brother, phenomenal nephew to his aunts and uncles, a dynamic cousin and a cherished and loyal friend to all.
Alex is predeceased by his loving grandparents, Altagrace and Bayard Raymond. He is survived by his mother, Esereth Raymond, his sisters Leslie Medina (& Brother-in-law, Leonard) and Myra Nau Pierre, brother Victor Edmond, his niece, Jasmine Grace Medina. He also leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles: Bernard (Sivenie) Raymond, Claude (Betty) Raymond, Roland (Patricia) Raymond, Max Raymond, Marie Raymonde (deceased Felix) Lamy, Elsie Raymond, Mona (Jean Yves) Alexandre, Cassandra (Donald) Vital and Marie Claude Raymond.
Rest in the sweetest peace.
