Diane M. (Lamoureux) Willman, 83 of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at D’Youville Life Center following a prolonged illness. She was the beloved widow of the late Arthur Willman who passed away in the 1970’s.
She was born in Lowell on July 20, 1939 and was a daughter of the late Andrew Lamoureux and the late Mary (Cassin) Lamoureux. She was raised in Lowell, where she attended the Butler School before completing her studies at Lowell High School. She was a communicant of the former St. Peter's Church.
As a young woman, she worked in the electronics field before dedicating many years of her life working as a home health aid until illness forced her early retirement.
Diane was an easy going, laid back individual who would be content spending time enjoying the serenity and solitude of her home. She loved crossword puzzles and was a talented oil painter. Later in life she cherished her time spent within her family of friends at D'Youville.
She is survived by her sister, Susan Cooney and her husband, Thomas of Tewksbury; her son in law, Joseph Dyer Derry, NH; her grandchildren, Joseph Dyer Jr. and Eric Dyer both of Derry, NH, Joseph Gagnon of Lowell; and her great granddaughter. She also leaves behind her Sister in law Jeanine Lamoureux and Samantha Cabozzi, Stacy and Tracy Carbonneau and Jimmy Carbonneau along with many nieces and nephews.
On Thursday, July 20, 2023 which would have marked her 84th birthday, all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 9:30-11 a.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. followed by procession to St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
