Dolores Christman, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2023. She was born on January 19, 1942, in Lowell, Massachusetts, where she spent her entire life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Dolores was the beloved daughter of the late Oscar Camacho and the late Elvira (Souza) Camacho. She grew up in Lowell and attended the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School. During her time there, she became a valued member of the ROTC, demonstrating her dedication and commitment to service.
Throughout her life, she found joy in simple pleasures. She had a passion for shopping, delighting in finding the perfect items to enhance her life. Getting her nails done was a special treat that made her feel pampered and glamorous. Above all, she adored spending time with her grandchildren, showering them with affection and spoiling them with love. She cherished the tradition of Friday lunches with her dear sister, Shirley, a bond that grew stronger with each passing week.
For over thirty years, Dolores worked as a secretary in manufacturing at Raytheon in Tewksbury and Andover. Her dedication and hard work left an indelible mark on the company. Colleagues and friends admired her efficiency and admired her pleasant demeanor, making her an invaluable member of the team. She retired from Raytheon with a sense of fulfillment and pride.
She is survived by her loving son, Brian Christman, and his wife, Jane, of Lowell. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Keith Christman and Kyle Christman, both of whom brought immense joy to her life. Her sister, Shirley Guild, and her husband, Chester, of Lancaster, MA, shared a bond of love and support that only siblings can understand. Additionally, she leaves behind her niece and nephew, Darren and Christine, along with numerous close friends and family members who were fortunate enough to experience her kindness and warmth throughout the years.
In accordance with her wishes, Dolores will not have a formal funeral service. Her memory will be honored and celebrated privately by those closest to her.
