Lucille Pate Smith, 80, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, July 7, 2023, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM Sunday, July 9, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Ronnie Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith was born September 25, 1942, in Coffee County Georgia, to the late Rastus and Nellie Conner Pate. She was a loving mom, nana, and wife. She loved to travel, especially to the beach. Mrs. Smith previously worked at Irwin Manufacturing, and Y & W Sports Wear.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Clarence Smith; three children: Charlotte Smith, Tammy Huggins & Bob, and Lee Smith & Heather; seven grandchildren: Tyler Smith & Rachel, Jerad Smith, Kayla Rivas & Michael, Ryan Smith, Rylee Smith, Laura Burgess & Kent, and Emily Burrell & Jason; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
