WESTPORT… Gloria, V. (Pariseau) Kitchen, 85, of Westport passed away July 4, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the loving wife of Lawrence E. “Larry” Kitchen, Jr. to whom she had been married for 64 years.
Born and raised in Westport, she was a daughter of the late Urbain and Aurore (Bastille) Pariseau.
Gloria was a kind and loving person who spent her life dedicated to her family. She was communicant of St. George Church where she was a member of their 20/20 Club. She could often be found playing cards and taking trips to Foxwoods with her friends or vacationing in Florida with her family. She was an avid quilter and was a member of Westport’s Quilters Club. Above all else, Gloria loved cooking and baking, especially for those she loved.
Along with her husband, survivors include her sons: Lawrence Kitchen, III and his wife Nancy and Scott Kitchen and his wife Laura, all of Dartmouth; her grandchildren: Adam Kitchen and his fiancée, Monica Arruda, Brittney Kitchen and her fiancé, Anthony Resendes, and Jonathan Kitchen; her sister, Annette Garant of Westport; her brothers: Urbain Pariseau and his wife Patricia and Philip Pariseau and his wife Elizabeth, all of Westport; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 10 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02723 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. George Church, 12 Highland Ave. Westport, MA 02790. Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Calling hours will take place Monday, July 10, 2023, from 5 – 8 PM.
