Joyce K. Annis, age 92, of Wrentham, passed away peacefully with family at her side Saturday July 1, 2023.
She was born in Gardiner, Maine to Myrtle (True) Wilson and Hugh Wilson.
The family moved to Massachusetts when she was nine. Joyce graduated from Bellingham High School, and lived in Franklin for many years, where she was an active member of the Federated Church of Franklin and the Alden Club (past president).
She was an avid bridge player, loved entertaining, traveling, spending time with her family and her many friends, and especially her visits with her granddaughters. She loved traveling with her husband, Al, and their many trips included Aruba, London, and California.
Joyce’s career began in hospitality and sales (jewelry, home products, and real estate), and she co-owned an estate jewelry business with her husband, Al.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Luann Marcolini Ripp (William) and Betty Jayne Bluestein (Allen), her granddaughters Emma Ripp Van Allen (Austin) and Molly Ripp, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Alfred Annis; her sisters Marguerite Pierce, Betty Wilson, Marie Bruneau and Pauline Fowler; and her brothers Kenneth Lynds, Bernard Wilson, and Keith Wilson. Joyce was greatly loved by all of her family.
All services will be held at Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St. with visitation on Sunday, July 30th from 5 – 7 pm, and a memorial service Monday, July 31st at 10 a.m., followed by burial at 2:30 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
