Lillian H. Warren, 98, of Merrimack, NH died Friday June 30, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Derry, NH on April 13, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Corliss) Dooley. Lillian had resided in Merrimack since 1986, formerly living in Londonderry and Derry.
She was employed by Agway as a bookkeeper in Derry after graduating from high school in 1943. She worked there until the plant closed in 1980. This was also where she met her husband. She then went on to work as a bookkeeper for Hoyle, Tanner and Associates until her retirement in 1990.
After retirement she became a big NASCAR fan and followed Jeff Gordon’s career, as well as Jimmy Johnson’s, and in later years Joey Lagano.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Devoe and her husband Matthew of Merrimack, three grandchildren, Laura Bailey of Ossipee, NH, Frank Devoe of Merrimack, NH, and Crystal Welch of Berlin MA. She also leaves two great-grandchildren. Michael Bailey, and her namesake Lillian Devoe. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank C. Warren in 1979, and by her two brothers, Ralph Corliss and Charles Dooley.
Following cremation, she will be privately laid to rest with her husband in Pleasant View Cemetery, Londonderry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
