Mr. Roy E. Daigle, a longtime resident of Lawrence and beloved husband of Jean (Cote) Daigle, passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. He was 86 years old.
Born in Van Buren, Maine, on December 25, 1936, he was the beloved son of the late Gene and Aurore (Beaulieu) Daigle. Roy was employed as a Sray Painter for Eastern Tank, for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening around his home, watching western movies and hunting in Maine. He also loved to eat out at restaurants and could fix anything. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Jean, Roy is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law; Diane J. Daigle and her husband Anthony C. Danna of Methuen, John ‘JD’ Daigle and his wife Diane of Tennessee,, sisters-in-law; Nancy Daigle and Pauline Daigle, both of New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Kevin D. Daigle and brother of the late Janet, Joanne, Richard, James, Reed and Harold ‘Bidou’.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated in the West Parish Garden Cemetery Chapel, 129 Reservation Road, Andover on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 1:30 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, prior to the service, from 11AM to 1PM.
