Matthew Fino, a resident of Everett, MA formerly of Malden, MA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was 52 years young.
Matt was a lovable, quiet guy who was creative, hardworking, and tirelessly worked at building a future with the love of his life, Terri. One of Matt’s favorite pastimes was carpentry. He could build anything and fix everything, with the joke being...“in two weeks”. The lake house in New Hampshire was a cherished retreat where he and Terri spent many weekends enjoying each other’s company and making it their home away from home. Memorable times with friends and family enjoying food, special drinks and sunset boat rides were routine. An avid photographer, the NH lake house was the perfect setting for capturing nature, and Matt did so with ease. Matt was a dedicated and loving son to his mother, Gertrude. He was diligent with her care and made sure her every need was fulfilled.
Matt had a passion for travel and loved to go to unique places with trips to Iceland, Alaska, and Manitoba…just to name a few. The pictures he took on these trips are a cherished record to be enjoyed for years to come.
Matt had a sense of duty. He joined the Navy at a young age where he learned skills that would serve him well in finding a career. He started his career as a carpenter and then pursued a license as a Journeyman Electrician. Since 2004, Matt has worked for Interstate Electrical Services where he was a respected Project Superintendent.
Matt was the loving companion of Terri Harrington of Everett. He was the brother of Michael, James, and Andrew Fino. Matthew was the loving son of Gertrude Fino and the late Michael Fino, of Malden, MA.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden, MA on Wednesday, June 28th, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 29th, at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Matt’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
