WEBSTER – BettyAnn M. (Plummer) Fontaine, 71, died Sunday, June 25, 2023 with family at her side.
She leaves her husband of 35 years, Henry J. Fontaine; 2 daughters, Christina A. Mead of Webster and Amanda M. Roux of Paxton; 4 grandchildren, BettyAnn Scholnick and her husband Nathaniel of Watertown, Azelyn M. Roux and her fiancé Jeremy Gonzalez of Dayville, CT, Sadey S. Chaplain of Webster and Elijah Chaplain of Dedham; 5 great-grandchildren, Harrison, Delilah, Adeline, Cortez and Elias; 2 sisters, Alice Leboeuf of Dudley and Donna Plummer of Webster; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Carol Cichowski, Edith Plummer and Corinne Vadnais.
She was born in Webster on July 16, 1951 to Wilfred and Elizabeth (Roy) Plummer and was a lifelong resident. She attended Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Fontaine worked as an assembler at Guardian Industries in Webster and also at the Staples Warehouse in Putnam, CT; she was an inspector at Gentex Corporation in Dudley and retired as a cashier at Price Chopper in Webster in 2015.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She enjoyed camping trips and was devoted to her family, most especially her 5 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, July 6, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Thursday in the funeral home, prior to the Mass. Donations in her name may be made to VNA Care, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
