Anna R. (Casavecchia) Scalia 95, of Medway, passed away peacefully, Thursday June 22, 2023, at Milford Regional Medical Center, following an illness.
Born June 27, 1927, in Hudson, MA, a daughter of the late Vincent and Blanche (Verrier) Casavecchia she was a former resident of Franklin until moving to Medway.
Raised and educated in Marlborough, Anna was retired from St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, where she worked as a secretary.
Anna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, as well and traveling with her family and traveling with her friends from St. Elizabeth’s.
She is survived by a son, John Scalia and his wife Marie of Franklin, a daughter Diane Glennon of New York, and a daughter in law Megumi Scalia of Hull.
She was the mother of the late Paul Scalia, grandmother of the late Michael Scalia and sister of the late Wayne Casavecchia & Patricia Meinhardt.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren: Lisa Russin, Jamie Butler, James Glennon, Keli Glennon, Paul Hallisey, Danielle Cormier, John Scalia, Anthony Scalia and 10 great grandchildren, Thomas Butler, Nathan Butler, Michael Russin, Jeremiah Russin, Sarah Russin, Emma Hallisey, Grace Hallisey, Claire Hallisey, Ella Glennon, Logan Glennon, and 1 great great grandchild Ada Russin.
At Anna’s request services and interment will be held privately.
