Elizabeth Danielle Seacord (March 14, 1958 – June 17, 2023) – Born in Milford MA to parents Daniel Freeman Seacord and Marietta Larney Seacord, Elizabeth was the youngest of their four daughters.
She attended school in Medway, from nursery school to high school and graduated with the Class of 1976 from Medway High School. She then attended Plymouth State College (now Plymouth University) in Plymouth NH and graduated in the Class of 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in sociology/anthropology. She was a member of Pi Gamma Mu anthropology/sociology honor society and later did graduate work at Plymouth in journalism, creative writing and editing.
After stints with Lyne Labs as Research and Development Assistant and at Advanced Thermal Systems, Inc. as administrative assistant to the president, she spent most of her career as a writer and sales and marketing contractor, including seven years with Wagner Communications as writer and copyeditor for the five editions of their bi-monthly newspapers individually covering the towns of Norton, Mansfield, Easton, Stoughton and Randolph.
She died following a very short struggle with cancer and leaves her son Daniel Ruff of Mansfield MA and sisters Diana Seacord of Natick, Stephanie Seacord of Newfields NH and Michelle Seacord of Freeport ME.
A Celebration of Life for Liz Seacord is planned for Saturday, July 29 from 2 to 4 pm at the Holliston Historical Society's Asa Whiting Gardens & Barn, 547 Washington St., Holliston. Casual dress.
