John was a lover of life, family, friends, sports and fun! His salt of the earth character enjoyed every day with an immensely positive spirit. Proud of his Armenian heritage, born to genocide survivors, John was equally proud to be “born and raised in Southy”. He loved and served his wife Alice who he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with. John would often say “I have four great kids and I love them all equally”. He was loved by his friends, especially on the baseball field, bowling alley or gym. To his eleven grandchildren he would say, “I’m a lucky man…I love all of you, and I am proud of each one of you”. His secret to a long and happy life was his positive spirit and his fitness membership, reminding us to “just keep moving!” He was as involved with his kids as he was his grandchildren showing up at many games cheering them on.

John Bournazian accepted everyone for who they were, with no expectations or limitations he saw everyone’s greatness. He was the most kind and gentle man one could meet. His legacy is the joy and strong life force that has influenced the many lives he has touched, and he will be forever remembered.
