SANFORD- Desserrae Marie Dutil went into eternal peace at her home surrounded by her closest family and friends on June 20th, 2023 following her valiant four year battle with stage four metastatic breast cancer.
Desserrae was born on Mother’s Day May 12th, 1995 in Portland, Maine. A graduate from Sanford High School class of 2013, she obtained her Medical Assistant Degree from York County Community College in 2018. She was boisterously passionate about continuing her education, and her commitment to obtaining her Radiology degree through the entirety of her fierce treatment was one of her proudest accomplishments. She gratifyingly received her Medical Assistant II in May of 2023.
Desserrae was happiest spending time with her loved ones and her dogs, laughing and making everlasting memories. Her adventurous personality led her on many journeys across the United States, from Niagara Falls, to Florida, to the Grand Canyon with Mallory. She took great joy in interior design, making her house into a home over the last seven years. The music was always on in her car and would sing wherever she went. She never missed an opportunity to take her fur babies for rides in her luxurious vehicles. She truly had a taste for all the fine things this life had to offer.
Desserrae’s laugh is one that is imprinted in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her humor and spitfire personality is something all were envious of. Desserrae knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to get it. Her heart was made of gold and glitter, and she left sprinkles of herself wherever she went. She was fierce, exuberant, and undeniably extravagant.
Desserrae is predeceased by her dad, late Mark B. Angers. Her mother Patricia M. Dutil. She is survived by her fiance of ten years, Austin Ham. Her fur babies Lexi and Levi. Family members, Jen, Saleena and Emily, Paul, nieces Victoria and Audrina. Infinite amount of loved ones her Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.
