Helen ‘Eileen” McCarthy
Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother (Mimi).
On June 18, 2023, Eileen passed away surrounded by loved ones. Eileen left a mark on this world. All who knew her, were better for it. She touched so many lives. She always provided love and support to her family and friends. She considered her family to be her greatest achievement. Her best days were spent with her Grandchildren. She would smile from ear to ear and her eyes would light up when any of them would enter a room. Her quick wit and humor has been passed down to them.
Eileen moved to America at 21 years of age from Belfast, Ireland. Her family enjoyed countless stories about her time “ back home”. When she moved here her love story began. She met her husband Jack with some lucky Patriots tickets. That first date sparked a love story for the ages. Their funny banter resonates in her families’ memories. That is outshined by their true love and devotion to one and other. They are an example to all couples of what true love should look like.
She spent many years working at St. Augustine’s parish. During this time, she fostered forever friendships and helped many in need. She has left an impression on many lives throughout the years, and she will be greatly missed.
