Margaret (Walmsley) Bairos, 88, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred C. Bairos.
Mrs. Bairos was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Cornelius and Margaret (Collis) Walmsley and had been a lifelong resident of the city. Prior to retirement, she worked as a stitcher for various area mills. She enjoyed her needlepoint and crocheting.
Survivors include her son: Thomas A. Bairos and his wife Nikki of Dunnellon, FL; her 2 daughters: Karen M. Ulmer of New Bedford and Diane M. Martin and her husband Brian of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren: Gregory Bairos, Jonathan Bairos, Jeffrey Martin and Jason Martin; 3 great grandchildren: Zachary, Michael and Lilah; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Tommy Walmsley and James Walmsley.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford at 11:00 A.M.
