Obituary

Daniel J. Champagne, 70, a resident of Nashua, NH, formerly of Lowell, sadly passed away on June 8, 2023 at home, unexpectedly.

Born on September 5, 1952, in Lowell, Dan was the beloved son of the late Paul E. Champagne and the late Helen (Kane) Champagne. He was raised and educated in Lowell's Pawtucketville neighborhood, where he was a communicant of St. Rita's Church.

Throughout his life, Dan worked as a skilled painter and carpenter for over four decades.

Dan had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy, including hiking and camping, gardening, and collecting items of antiquity. He had a deep fondness for animals and derived great pleasure from feeding the birds that visited his home. Dan enjoyed engaging in genealogical research, which lead him to serve as the former President of the Concord Genealogical Society.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, his active involvement in his community, and his love for nature and animals. Danny also leaves countless memories that will be treasured by his loved ones forever.

He is survived by his siblings, Donna M. Champagne of Nashua, Michael J. Champagne of Lowell, Timothy D. Champagne and his wife, Patricia, of Dracut, Karen Hay of Methuen, and Catherine and her husband Gary Leger of Lowell.
