MacDonald “Mac” Sprague Sr., at the age of 93, surrounded by loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023 at Bay Path Nursing Home in Duxbury, MA.

Also, he is survived by his many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mac was born in Boston and raised in Randolph, MA. Throughout his life, Mac had many passions, including football, hunting, boating, fishing, golf, gardening, music, and entertaining. As a teenager, Mac was a gifted athlete, favoring football above all.
As a young family man, he started a business which became very successful and reputable, MacDonald Sprague Roofing Co., from which he retired after over 50 years. He was a long-time member of various trade associations, including the National Roofers Contractors Association. He was also a member of various lodges and country clubs.
He enjoyed his annual deer hunting trips to his Brooksville, ME. home with his lifelong Randolph buddies. He cherished his time at his beach house in Brant Rock for many years, where he loved to entertain, barbecue, and brave many nor’easters. His 4th of July parties were epic, enjoyed by so many. Everyone was welcome.
Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends, especially the one-on-one time where he would spoil each of his many beloved grandchildren. This included shopping sprees, restaurants, trips to his home on Marco Island, and the golf course, where he gave them lessons and instilled in them a love of the game. Mac was a very generous man to family, friends, and even strangers. He was known for his friendly and outgoing personality. And his sense of humor was legendary, endearing him to so many. He was very special man who will be deeply missed and forever loved.
We will never forget his parting words, “Love You More”
