Angela “Dot” Yetman of West Roxbury 96, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.
Angela “Dot” Yetman was born January 9, 1927 in Chapel Arm Newfoundland, Canada. Daughter of the late John P. Power and Martha J. Crocker. Predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.
Angela moved to the United States alone at 18 years old with just a suitcase. She worked as a housekeeper, worked at Marine Optical in Roslindale and Armstrong Laboratories in West Roxbury.
Dot loved spending time with her family, especially around the dinner table, watching old Hollywood classics, and a good cup of tea with a “goodie”.
Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Yetman and loving mother to Janet Yetman Connolly and her husband Martin of Norwood, and the late Patricia Yetman Reid of West Roxbury. She also leaves her son-in-law Lloyd Reid of Newfoundland. Along with her children, Dot was an amazing Nan to Melissa Reid Coloroso (Joey), Mitchell Reid (Yuki), Jennifer Connolly Saulnier (Raymond), and Jessica Connolly MacLeod (Andrew).
She was a loving “Little Nanny” to her great grandchildren Jacklynn, James, and Koki. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 at Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers donations in Dot’s name may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
