BRIMFIELD – Michael P. Bell, 69, of Meadowbrook Acres in Brimfield and a longtime resident of Amherst, Virginia, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, June 11, 2023. He passed into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Newport, Rhode Island on February 17, 1954, a beloved son of Vivian G. (Martel) Bell of Chicopee and the late Frederick G. Bell who was Called Home on January 7, 2018. He graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield in 1972 and received his Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Springfield Technical Community College. He lived in Chicopee and Amherst, Virginia for many years before moving to Brimfield just this year. He was employed for many years at Prolamina in Westfield and retired in 2016. Michael was the Secretary and Treasurer of the Hard Knock Hunting Club in Virginia. He was currently a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. Michael was a fun loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. In addition to his beloved mother, he leaves his loving wife and best friend, Constance T. “Connie” (Roberts) Bell. They were married on September 13, 1975 at Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 47 years of happiness together. He also leaves his loving son, Jacob R. “Jake” Bell of Enfield, CT; his dear sister, Debra A. Relihan of Chicopee; his two dear brothers in law, Normand Roberts and his wife, Lois, of San Jose, CA and Gerald Roberts and his wife, Linda, of Belchertown; his two cherished nephews, Thomas Relihan and his wife, Jennifer and their son, Oliver, and Kevin Relihan and his wife, Erica, and their daughters, Rosalie, Amelia, and Sabrina; his cherished niece, Kelsey Relihan; and his many dear uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members and numerous friends. His relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 12 Noon at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
