Michael T. Baker, age 65, passed away on June 6, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke on Sept 20, 1957 to the late Robert E. Sr., and Shirley (Rouillard) Baker. Michael worked as the director of maintenance for the Westfield Youth Detention Center. He also had his own landscaping business, and was actively involved in youth sports in Chicopee for many years. Michael enjoyed trips to Maine and spending time with his family. He leaves his son, Kevin Baker of West Springfield; his daughter, Sarah Baker of Chicopee; one brother, Robert “Bob” Baker Jr. of Westfield; two nephews, Shawn Baker and Jason Baker and many close friends who were like family including, Michael Fonfara, The Fortunato Family , The Flint Family, The Rege Family, Ronnie Benard and Matthew Beaudette. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 9 am to 11 am at Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee with a Memorial Service to begin at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
