Theresa R. Sasso, a life-long Medford resident, died on Saturday after a brief illness. She was 84.
The devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Penta) Sasso, Theresa was predeceased by her dear sister and brothers: Carmella Palmese, Guy, Joseph, Robert, George, and John Sasso. Theresa leaves behind her many beloved nieces, nephews and their families.
Born and raised in Medford, Theresa graduated from St. Joseph School and Cheverus High School. She enjoyed a long career with Tuft’s University, working in the events and conferences office, assisting in the details, correspondence and logistics of the many events and academic conferences hosted on campus each year. Theresa was a devout woman who was devoted to her parish and her faith. She loved her family and was an aunt who loved to be connected with the lives of her nieces and nephews. Kind, gentle and loving, Theresa will be missed by her family and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford Square on Thursday, June 15th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.
